Location Boží Dar
Boží Dar is a mountain town that is, with it's altitude of 1028 m, the highest situated town in Central Europe. It´s located on the boarders with Germany, under Klínovec, the highest peak of Krušné hory. Tourists here can find the perfect weather for winter and summer holidays. In the surrounding area you´ll find 120 km of cross-country trails including a well known trail called ''Krušnohorská''. You can use dozens slopes with 18 drag lifts and 4 chair lifts.
500 m far from the pension are the ski areas Hranice and SKI Novako (ski school, snowboard school, snowtubing) which are suitable for beginners and families with children. The ski area Neklid is suitable for advanced skiers. To the most advanced we can recommend the ski area Klínovec, which is 2 km far from Boží Dar (daily ski bus). The longest slope is located in Jáchymov – Ski area Nový Klínovec and the most modern area is the Ski area Plešivec.
If you are into extreme sports and activities, try the snowkitting school, snowparks or snowtubing. Boží Dar offers trips on snowmobiles for children and for adults snowshoes are available to borrow so you can discover the surroundings of the town. Either with a guide or on your own. Of course there are plenty of ski equipment rental, ski schools, etc…
During hotter days you can use hiking trails which are in many different variations in length. There are many options for biking, Nordic walking and other activities. Ježíškova cesta (Santa Claus´trail) is also famous. It's full of entertaining activities for children of every age. There are two circuits – a longer one (12,9 km) and a shorter one (5,6 km).
There are two aqua-parks nearby, one in the spa town of Jáchymov and one in Marienberg, which is about 47 km far from Boží Dar. In Marienberg you can swim in indoor or outdoor swimming pools, one with saline water, a kids' pool with a slide, waves, saunas, etc. You can find other activities in Oberwiesenthal, which is in Germany about 4 km away. There is a cabine lift, an ice-skating hall, summer-bobsled, etc.
Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad) is also a lovely town. It is 28 km away and offers plenty of cultural activities. A lot of historical monuments can be found in the neighbourhood (Loket castle, Bečov castle, Kynžvart,…)
